I love Frankie's! The Italian chicken sandwich is absolutely delicious and makes a perfect lunch. I think they have the best hot dogs and fries around the area. Good service. Available for dining in.

I'm on this mission to find the best Italian beef in the city and while down on the SW side for work the other day I drove by this place and decided to stop. Totally worth it. Nice staff. Good prices. And, really charming old world Italian atmosphere. 4 stars because it isn't the perfect beef to bread to juice ratio but yet to find it yet. If you're int he good down there check it out!

They have some decent pasta for a fast-food joint, though you're going to pay sit-down prices! I've tried their beef three times, just to make sure I didn't get a 'bad one.' Well, three strikes and yer out. No flavor, soooo bland! I thought my girlfriend was going to break up with me after I brought her one.

I had the mafia steak sandwich and no joke....the food was fire! This was the first time I tried them and the food, service and everything else was tip top! The steak meat was as if I grilled myself and I only got a home feel sandwich..that tasted great. All and all ..will I come again? Yes!

Great place to grab a quick sandwich to go or sit and dine in. The dining room is very clean and pleasant. Nice decor and attentive staff. The service is quick and the food is great. If you have the pleasure of meeting the owner, Vinnie, you will never forget him. He is a great guy! friendly, funny and truly cares about your dining experience and always makes you feel welcome and appreciated. The success of his restaurant, fast food place and catering business is a testament to his family's hard work and attention to quality and detail of their menu items. Anytime I am in the Oak Lawn area I make sure to stop in at Frankie's

This is a nice spot to stop in for a hot dog, etc. I usually order the beef which is good but not GREAT. The dessert options are very nice!

Typical Chicago-style menu, higher than average prices, cleaner/nicer than average competition. 'Nuff said.

The staff is very friendly, and they are quick in getting your order ready. The eating area has a good atmosphere, and I actually enjoy eating here. The food so far has been all good! The cheeseburgers are my favorite ;although, the hot dogs are pretty good as well! Definitely worth a try if you're around the area!

A co-worker of mine insisted that I try this place out. She literally went out of her way to get me a menu and make recommendations, so I had pretty high expectations. I live close by so I've had it in the back of my mind to stop in. We decided on carry-out but they do have an area to dine in. We ordered a chicken parm sandwich, chicken strips, and fried ravioli. The sandwich was just OK. I've had better in the area. The chicken strips weren't even real chicken. We took one bite and threw them away and the fried ravioli were below average. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. I thought I should order pasta. On second thought though, if they don't even use real chicken I doubt I'll bother. There's much better options in the area.

Was looking for a good beef tried there and it was ok but sort of needed some seasoning both Jim and I felt the same way.

Delivery driver in Evergreen Park last summer went the wrong way down a one way street while talking on the phone and came inches from my truck. License plate was something like 51687 z, Young male with a backwards baseball cap. Driver was heading northbound on Pulaski from 95th st. He tried to turn right (eastbound) on 94th where I was facing west. The driver disregarded the two big "DO NOT ENTER" signs and the large curb that was probably installed to keep this from happening. I know it's 7 months later, I gave myself a "cool down period" but I'm still boiling about this. The I called the managers, emailed the owner, got a response, and in good faith I are there the next day and introduced myself to the manager I spoke to. I will continue to eat here but I will never forget this happened.

Place is brutal...this used to be the place for good food at a good price. Now bad food for more money one major disappointment would have to be them getting rid of there signature seasoned fries which were very good they said they switched venders but I say they got cheap but still raised food prices...dnt make much sense. This would be a one star review except they do have some good homemade Italian ice

Some of the best catering in the southwest suburbs. Every time I have had the catering from here, I have not been let down. They offer many dishes, mostly Italian fare. My personal favorites are the chicken with potatoes and oregano, and their Italian beef is outstanding. And they deliver all over the suburbs. Not only is their catering great, but the restaurant is good for sandwiches and a couple of beers with friends.

A bit on the pricey side for me. I love the Fries...Cajun-Seasoned type. Beef is pretty good. I've had better in the City of Chicago. Worth checking out. You won't be unhappy.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
